Rob Rains Rob Rains is the Sports Editor for the new Globe-Democrat.com. He was the former National League Beat Writer for USA Today's Baseball Weekly (now Sports Weekly.) For three years, (until the paper's demise in the 1980's) he covered the Cardinals for the St. Louis Globe-Democrat, and 23 years later when it came back as an on-line newspaper he was thrilled to be involved. He has written many books on the Cardinals and has been involved in St. Louis radio for many years.
