Light A Candle
"Each time you look at a candle think of that flame as your own personal flame.Your flame is the hope in your heart and in your life. There is never, ever a day in your life when there is no hope. The situation may seem hopeless but since we don't know what will come tomorrow, we can never really say there is no hope."
Finding Peace In The Rain, by Sally Tippett Rains
Take A Time-Out
RELAX...Do something nice for yourself.
I have always looked at the aviator, Amelia Earhart as a hero, and after writing my most recent book about Margaret Mitchell, I saw some comparisons. Both womenhad led such vibrant lives, and both came to such violent crashes at the end; one by a drunk driver, and one in a plane.
Amelia Earhart’s life story provides ‘wings’ of hope to those who are wondering if they should take a chance. She wanted to fly and she did--never giving up when the task seemed impossible.
Margaret Mitchell gave us one of the most motivational themes ever. If a person is ever feeling down or defeated, they should think of Gone With The Wind. Everyone in that book did what they had to do to survive. We can survive any situation too.
Our lives are like a book, being written, with notes and changes made along the way to becoming a masterpiece. The great thing about life is nothing is ever definite; there is always the possibility of a sequel and updated editions.
Margaret Mitchell’s theme for Gone With The Wind was survival. Though Scarlett O’Hara achieved her goals though less than honorable means, the message of ‘survival’ and never giving up is worthwhile for everyone.
Throughout the book, when presented with a major challenge, Scarlett stepped back ‘If I think of it now, I’ll go crazy,’ she would say to herself and put the bad things in a box for later, gathering up her strength to do the things she had to do at that moment
If you are ever presented with a problem, situation that seems out of control, or you feel desperate, like there is no way out, just take Scarlett’s advice, from the last line of Margaret Mitchell’s one and only book...
“I’ll think of it all tomorrow…After all, tomorrow is another day.”
